For thousands of years Chinese have been practicing Acupuncture. Western medicine is now warming up to the idea that East and West can work together. A recent article shows that forty-two percent of hospitals are offering “alternative medicine” to treat their patients.

This is great news for patients, as they can try new treatments for aliments that Western doctors typically write a pain killer prescription for. Not only can pain killers become habit forming, they just mask pain instead of getting to the root cause.

It is also fantastic that this change is being market driven. Patients are asking for alternatives. Western doctors getting first hand feedback from their patients, leading to more acceptance by the “west”.
